Spider-Man: No Way Home bags the Golden Tomato award for being the best reviewed movie 2021

Spider-Man : No Way Home which has grossed over $1.5 billion worldwide becoming the 8th highest-grossing movie of all time and still counting its sucessfull run has another feather to its cap.

Rotten Tomatoes has given Spider-Man: No Way Home its annual Golden Tomato award for "Best-Reviewed Movie of the Year," "Best-Reviewed Wide Release of the Year," and "Best-Reviewed Comic Book Movie of the Year beating out movies like Raya and the Last Dragon, Pig, Summer of Soul, The Power of the Dog, A Quiet Place 2, and The Mitchells vs. The Machine.

This will not be the last award the movie will receive this year, while there are rumors that Disney is pushing for an Oscar Nomination for the movie it is not clear that the movie will make the cut, showing the growing divide between audiences and critics.

Spider-Man: No Way Home marks the end of Tom Holland 's trilogy as the friendly neighborhood superhero. The actor appeared in a total of six movies as the most loved superhero and the Sony-Mcu collaboration only made the success of his character grander. 

No Way Home has been a big win for Sony and the MCU and Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield who have played Spider-Man before Tom Holland have an equal share in the film's success. 

Spider-Man: No Way Home is co-produced by Sony and Marvel Studios and directed by Jon Watts and stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch , and Marisa Tomei.

Fans now await clarity on Spider-Man's future in the MCU and if Tom Holland will be the actor retaining the Spidey suit in the upcoming films planned by Sony for the next trilogy. For now, Holland will be seen next in Sony's upcoming Uncharted which is based on the popular Play Station video game of the same name. He will be playing Nathan Drake in the film.
