Thalapathy Vijay's 'Varisu' audio launch will happen this Christmas

The audio launch for Vijay 's highly anticipated Varisu will be taking place on December 24th at 4 pm. The music for the movie has been composed by award-winner Thaman S.

So far three tracks from the movie have been released online, Ranjithame, Thee Thalapathy, and Soul of Varisu.

All three songs have met with positive reactions from fans and have a combined view count of 150 million on Youtube.

Varisu is produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations in association with PVP Cinema and has been described as a family drama and is similar to popular Vijay movies from the 90s.

The movie is the first collaboration between Vijay and Telegu director Vamshi Paidipally, not to mention the first on-screen pairing of the actor with Rashmika Mandanna.

This will be the actress's second Tamil film after Sultan in 2021. The movie will release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi, with the Hindi rights acquired by T-series.

In the movie, Vijay plays the son of a business tycoon who has to take over the company after a series of unfortunate events. Varisu has a great supporting cast that includes R Sarath Kumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Khushboo, Srikanth, Shaam, Yogi Babu, and Sangeetha Krish.

The movie will hit theaters in January during Pongal, which means the movie will have stiff competition at the Tamil and Telugu box office.

The movie will be clashing with Ajith starrer Thuniva at the Tamil box office and Chiranjeevi's Waltair Veerayya at the Telugu box office this Pongal.

Vijay is currently busy promoting the upcoming release afterward he will be joining the sets of Thalapthy 67, his second collaboration with director Lokesh Kanakaraj.

Thalapthy 67 will be the third entry in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe after Kaithi and Vikram. Actress Trisha has been cast as the female lead in the movie marking the on-screen paring of two after a gap of 15 years.

Varisu will hit theaters worldwide on January 12th, 2023.
