Tovino Thomas wraps his cameo in Dulquer Salmaan's gangster movie 'King of Kotha'

Tovino Thomas who recently joined the sets of Dulquer Salmaan 's gangster moive King of Kotha has finished shooting for his role in two days.

While details on who or what the Minnal Murali star will be playing in the movie are a mystery, rumors are floating around that it may be something similar to Suriya's appearance as Rolex on Vikram.

King of Kotha will mark the directorial debut of Abhilash Joshiy, son of veteran Malayalam filmmaker Joshiy. The movie is a gritty action movie set in the 1980s.

The movie is produced by Dulquer Salmaan under the banner of Wayfarer Films, in association with ZEE Studios.

As for Tovino Thomas, the actor has a string of movies lined up for 2023. They are Neelavelicham , Nadikar Thilakam and Ajayante Randam Moshanam .

Neelavelicham is a biopic on the life of iconic Malayalam writer Vaikom M. Basheer and is directed by Aashiq Abu.

Nadikar Thilakam is directed by Jean Paul Lal and plot details about the movie are under wraps. We do know that Tovino will be sharing the screen with Soubin Shahir.

The movie is written by Suvin S. Somasekharan. The music for the movie is done by Neha Nair and Yakzan Gary Pereira.

Finally, we have Ajayante Randam Moshanam a period-action movie in which Tovino will be playing three roles. The movie will be set in three different time periods - 1900, 1950, and 1990 in Kerala.

King of Kotha has an ensemble main cast that inlcudes Shabeer Kallarakkal, Gokul Suresh, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Chemban Vinod Jose, Prasanna and Shammi Thilakan.

The supporting casr includes Nyla Usha, Shanthi Krishna, Sudhi Koppa, Senthil Krishna, Saran Shakthi, and Rajesh Sharma.

The cinematography will be helmed by Nimish Ravi, edited by Shyam Sasidharan, and the film score is composed by Jakes Bejoy. The songs in the movie will be composed by Jakes Bejoy and Shaan Rahman separately.

King of Kotha will hit theaters on August 24, 2023.
