And the 62-year-old actor tweeted: “#33YearsOfSaaransh has trended in my life every single day.” He also posted a few pictures.
The classic film narrates the story of a retired school teacher (played by Anupam Kher) and his wife (portrayed by Rohini Hattangadi), who finds it impossible to come to terms with the loss of their only son. Celebrating its 33rd anniversary, Kher took to twitter and posted some throwback pictures with messages that are straight from his heart.
He first shared stills from the film and mentioned how life has come a long way from his first film.

Interestingly, Kher was 28-year-old when he played the role of a 60-year-old in the film. Indeed, it must have been a challenge for him to portray a character almost thrice his actual age. However, the actor pulled it off with conviction, and received praise and critical acclaim.

Bhatt, who is known for his filmmaking acumen, replied to Kher with a rather deep thought. “Truth is timeless ! 33 yrs ago u came to my door like a student and became a legend. Pain was our greatest teacher,” Bhatt wrote.
