Rekha is an evergreen actress. She had stepped into the Hindi film industry some 48 years back and she gradually rose as the charming actress that we know of today. Not just in her professional life, but she has seen many ups and downs in her personal life as well. But Rekha rose above them all and dealt with it with the grit and strength. 

Last night, as Rekha performed at the IIFA 2018 in Bangkok, she showed this generation once again why there can be no other Rekha in the industry or in Indian cinema in totality.

Here are 5 things that you would probably have not noticed in Rekha's performance at the 2018 IIFA, Bangkok:

1. Rekha performed after 20 years

The last time Rekha performed was in 1997 during the Filmfare Awards!

2. It's for the first time that someone of her age performed on-stage!

Live performances require a lot of energy and generally, actors above 50 choose not to perform. But Rekha just proved that age is just a number and stole the show with her performance.

3. She performed for 20 minutes straight

Let's not go into how difficult it is to perform live for as long as 20 minutes! But Rekha, with her grace, poise and brilliant skills, made it look like a cakewalk while mesmerizing us all throughout!

4. She paid a tribute to Madhubala

She performed on Jab Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya from Mughal-E-Azam. 

5. She did Amitabh Bachchan's iconic step during Salaam-E-Ishq
