A Death Threat For Mahesh Bhatt’s Princess Alia

Few days back Mahesh Bhatt received a call from an anonymous person who gave death threats for daughter Alia Bhatt and wife Soni Razdan. OMG! A death threat! However, Mahesh remained unaffected and did not lodge a complaint until a Whatsapp message popped up from an unknown. If reports are to go by, anonymous caller demanded Rs 50 lakh from daddy Mahesh and threatened to kill Alia and Soni if he didn’t get the amount on time. The money was asked to be deposited in a Lucknow-based bank branch.

The 68-year-old filmmaker took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “A bolt from the blue in the form of an extortion call & threat to my family was nipped in the bud by the MH & UP police in tandem.Gratitude!” Petrified Mahesh lodged a complaint in Juhu Police Station, Mumbai. The latest development is that the accused has been arrested. Revealing how the accused was caught, a senior official said, “The accused messaged his account details. We managed to track him through his mobile phone number. He is in custody.”

This is not the first time that Bhatt’s are being targeted. Back, in November 2014, Mahesh had been threatened for his and his family’s life. It is such a relief that the accused is arrested and the family is now safe.
