A R Rahman enthralls audience at Oscars again

Los Angeles, Feb 28 -- Gifted musician-vocalist A R Rahman enthralled the audience at the 84th Academy Awards yesterday by performing his tracks from the film '127 Hours.The 46-year-old music maestro, who bagged two Oscars in 2009 for "Slumdog Millionaire", had also performed last year at the prestigious award function.Rahman wrote on his Facebook wall, "Oscar sangamam - If you are watching the Oscars live, catch our Oscar superband headed by Hans Zimmer perform tonight." Besides Rehman, Esperanza Spalding, who paid a tribute to the dozens of entertainment industry professionals who died in the last 12 months, including Jane Russell, Whitney Houston, Elizabeth Taylor and Etta James, was the star performer of the night.
