Aamir Khan gets his daughters for ‘Dangal’

Fatima Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra have been roped in to play Aamir’s daughters in his upcoming sports biopic ‘Dangal’. Both of them will be playing the roles of Geeta and Babita Phogat, daughters of Mahavir Singh. Fatima Shaikh has acted in few films, whereas Sanya Malhotra is a trained Ballet dancer.

The Nitesh Tiwari directorial is a story of former wrestler Mahavir Singh who trained his own daughters in the sport. Aamir shared with Mumbai Mirror, "Dangal is not just a film about wrestling but an emotional journey of a father and his two daughters, which teaches us to empower our girls". As biopics are the flavor of Bollywood these days, Mr. Perfectionist also chose ‘Dangal’.

Earlier he said, “You can see that the preparation is on for ‘Dangal’. The film is going on floor in next few months but we have not blocked the dates. The casting is still on. I am learning wrestling and learning Haryanvi”. The actor has been hitting the gym for two hours each day and is undergoing rigorous training to get in shape for the character.
