Abhinav Kashyap feels he has always been under Anurag Kashyap’s shadow

Filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap has made a statement in which he has confessed that he has always been compared with his brother Anurag Kashyap for the kind of work they do. Abhinav said, “I have always been compared to him and I have always lived under his shadow. But with Dabangg I was able to come out of it.”

Abhinav is known for making entertaining flicks like Dabangg, whereas Anurag is famous for his serious work, namely; Gangs of Wasseypur franchise. Abhinav stated, “We both make different kinds of films and we have both created a name for ourselves. I have learnt my work from him; so his shadow is a good one.”

Abhinav’s last directorial piece, Besharam featured Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The film was released last year and failed badly at the ticket window. The filmmaker’s next flick will be Project 18. Nothing much has been revealed about the movie yet as it is still at its pre-production stage. It is good to see that two brothers are trying their level best to entertain the viewers with their films with high regards for each other’s work.
