Aditya Roy Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor To Feature In Another Romantic Flick

The songs of Aashiqui 2 still dominate the airwaves, after years of its release. The pairing that debuted as lead actors in the romantic flick, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, is considered to be one of the iconic pairs of Bollywood. Grapevine is abuzz that the Aashiqui 2 Jodi is once again collaborating on the big screen for the Hindi remake of Mani Ratnam’s Tamil romance flick titled ‘O Kadhal Kanmani’.

To be helmed by Shaad Ali, the story of the film is about a young couple who are in a live in relationship. It is said that Prakash Raj, who essayed the role of the landlord in the original will be seen reprising his role in the Hindi remake. Aditya and Shraddha will step into the shoes of Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen, who played the lead roles in the original.

“The Hindi screenplay is being co-written by Mani Ratnam and Shaad Ali. The film will roll in Mumbai early next year”, a source told Mumbai Mirror. Confirming the news, Ratnam has been quoted as saying, “Yes, I have the rights of the original Tamil film and the Hindi remake has been finalised. It will be directed by Shaad Ali”. Meanwhile, the audiences are excitedly waiting for Aditya-Shraddha to recreate the Aashiqui magic in this romantic flick.
