Everything You Need To Know About Ajay Devgn's Next, Jigarthanda Remake

Ajay Devgn is producing a movie starring Sanjay Dutt and Farhan Akhtar in the lead roles. The film directed by Nishikant Kamat is a remake of Tamil black comedy-action-crime drama Jigarthanda which released in 2014. Jigarthanda was written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj.

The story of the film revolves around an aspiring director who gains popularity after making a movie on real-life gangster but end up turning like him. Farhan will play the role of an aspiring director, while Sanjay will essay the role of a don. Recently, when Ajay was asked about the film, he said, "I am producing the film and we are working on the script. It will start in January-February. It is inspired from Tamil film Jigarthanda (released in 2014). It is a fabulous story. It is not going to be an exact copy of the film, we will change things. But at the same time, quite a lot of stuff will be similar."

He added, "I was too occupied with work and I felt Farhan and Sanjay were apt for the film. It is true that Farhan plays an assistant director and Sanjay a gangster. This premise will be the same in terms of their role." The team is working on the script and is yet to decide the female lead.
