Akki-Nimrat to floor scores with their scorching chemistry in ‘Airlift’

Superstar Akshay Kumar is all set with his action flick ‘Airlift’. After his astonishing performances in Holiday and Entertainment, the actor has geared up for his next movie, which at present is believed to be in its pre-production stage. Reports revealed that, ‘The Lunch box’ actress will soon be seen romancing bollywood khiladi in their upcoming next.

The two stars would be seen together for the first time as a bollywood couple, their on-screen chemistry would surely bring us some score of surprise. The makers of the movie were looking for a strong personality for the role of Akshay’s wife in the action-drama; probably Nimrat’s performance in ‘The Lunchbox’ is potent enough to make us believe that she’ll be the right choice. Actress Nimrat Kaur is busy these days with the American Television series, ‘Homeland’.

Directed by Raja Krishna Menon and produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series along with Cape of Good Films, Crouching Tigers and Emmay Entertainment, ‘Airlift’ is about a wealthy and powerful businessman, who has always seen himself as Kuwaiti, rather than an Indian. It portrays how Indians stranded in Kuwait manage to escape Iraqi invasion fighting all odds to reach their own country. It’s a story of the biggest ever human evacuation in history of mankind. Bhushan while talking about the movie said, “It's my conviction that the story will be equally appreciated once on celluloid as much as I loved it during narration. The character that Akshay plays is filled with heroism and I am sure he will add to the perfection with this central character role that he essays." The movie is expected to get on floor in April next year.
