‘Akshara has mum to protect and guide her’: Shruti Haasan

When asked if she guides her younger sister Akshara the Luck actress told Mumbai Mirror, "In my opinion, today's kids are very intelligent. Akshara doesn't need me. Anyway, she has my mum to guide and protect her".

Recently a case was filed against Shruti Haasan, accusing her of cheating, which was later dropped. "It was so unnecessary, I hope it doesn't happen to any actress, I am the daughter of two successful actors. I have grown up in the limelight and judgemental people have been a part and parcel of my upbringing. It doesn't bother me thanks to my filmy parivaar", she told Mumbai Mirror.

Akshara Haasan was supposed to be launched by Mani Ratnam in his film Kadal. Instead, she made her Bollywood debut alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Dhanush in R. Bali’s Shamitabh. Prior to her acting career, the 23-year-old actress has also worked as an assistant director on Rahul Dholakia’s Society and her father’s film Vishwaroopam.
