SAD NEWS: Akshay Kumar, KJo And Salman Khan’s Upcoming Film Shelved!

Do you know that Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Karan Johar were to unite together for a film titled The Battle of Saragarhi? The movie was based on one of the greatest chapters of Indian Freedom Movement. The story of the flick revolved around Havaldar Ishar Singh who was the military commander during the time when India was under the rule of Britishers. He was the leader of 21 Sikh soldiers.

On September 12, 1897, Havaldar Singh led his army through a deathly battle against thousands of Afghani who were invading India. History named the battle as the Battle Of Saragarhi. Akshay Kumar was supposed to play the lead, while Salman Khan and Karan Johar were to co-produce the movie.

The makers had announced the project at the beginning of 2017 and the shooting was supposed to start by the mid of this year. But, now it seems that the makers have lost their interest in the movie as there are no updates regarding it. “You won’t see any shooting for that film either. The script is not ready. Akshay is now busy with other assignments till the end of 2018. Salman and Karan have also moved on. Meanwhile, Aamir’s Thugs of Hindostan is in the same genre and space. So, it looks like Yash Raj has beaten Karan Johar to that. It doesn’t look like Battle Of Saragarhi will happen,” said an informed source.

However, fans who were eager to see the three superstars together do not need to get disappointed as there is a probability that they will collaborate for another project. It looks like that there is some problem regarding the Saragarhi biopic. We earlier heard that Raj Kumar Santoshi was considering making a film on the same theme featuring Randeep Hooda but it seems that the project has been shelved as Santoshi got involved in various legal issues. Then there were reports of Ajay Devgn making a film on the same subject but it seems to be nowhere.
