Akshay Kumar: Injured and hospitalized

Akki met with an accident while filming for his upcoming flick and was straight away taken to the Kokilaben Ambani hospital. Akshay was admitted over there for few hours and was then discharged. A source said that he injured himself while shooting and had been provided the primary treatment.

The actor had supposedly hurt his leg during the shoot for an untitled Hindi remake of the Tamil film Thuppakki, produced by Vipul Shah at Thakur Complex, Kandivli. The nature of the damage suffered by the 45-year-old actor wasn’t told. Thuppakki remake also stars Sonakshi Sinha, who was not present on the set at the time of the accident.

Khiladi Kumar usually persists on doing his action sequences on his own and body doubles are never an option for him. Akki is known for his calibre of doing stunts and this has made him a brand of such a genre. He was roped in to host the reality show of Fear Factor on TV a few times back because of action star tag that he carries. We wish him to get well soon.
