Amid The Facebook Scandal, Farhan Akhtar Permanently Quits Facebook

Recently the online social media and social networking service company, Facebook, grabbed headlines for all the wrong reasons. It was reported that a research firm Cambridge Analytica inappropriately gained access to the personal data of more than 50 million Facebook users. Soon the Federal Trade Commission confirmed inquiry into whether the company engaged in unfair acts to attain the data.

Post the scandal, Facebook co-founder Brian Acton told his followers to delete Facebook. Now, the latest in the front is that it has also affected Bollywood stars. One of the ace  directors and actors of the industry, Farhan Akhtar , has permanently deleted his Facebook account.

However, the verified FarhanAkhtarLive page is still active.

He announced this message on Twitter, "Good morning. This is to inform you all that I have permanently deleted my personal Facebook account. However, the verified FarhanAkhtarLive page is still active". Well, the reason for this was not mentioned by the actor and we guess it is because of the Facebook scandal only.
