Amitabh Bachchan emerges as the Greatest Bollywood Star in a UK survey

He has always been known as one of the strongest pillars of Indian cinema and now he is the 'Greatest Bollywood Star' in the global forum too. We are talking about Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan who has been honoured with the special title by a British Asian weekly daily Eastern Eye as it conducted its survey of '100 Greatest Bollywood Stars'.

The survey was based on audience votes which came through social networking sites, box-office records, influence created through cinema and acclaim showered by critics. The poll was led by Big B while his immediate followers are another Bollywood legend Dilip Kumar and the third spot being bagged by Shah Rukh Khan. Among the actresses, Madhuri Dixit was the topper and the fourth in the list. The others who featured among top 10 are Raj Kapoor, Nargis, Dev Anand, Waheeda Rehman, Rajesh Khanna and Sridevi, respectively. There are some other prominent stars who made it to the list like Salman Khan (11), Aamir Khan (14), Dharmendra (15), Hema Malini (18), Madhubala (24), Kajol (30), Hrithik Roshan (32), Rani Mukerji (38), Kareena Kapoor (43), Mumtaz (50), Saif Ali Khan (59), Priyanka Chopra (86) and Katrina Kaif (93).
