Anushka Sharma Acknowledges Jab We Met's Geet As Her Inspiration To Start Her Acting Career

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma acknowledged the funky character of ‘Geet’ played by Kareena Kapoor Khan in Jab We Met as her inspiration to pursue a career in movies. The actress also revealed that she instantly accepted Imtiaz Ali’s offer to act in ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal'.

The PK star will be portraying the role of a Gujarati girl in the upcoming movie ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal'. Regarding her character in the upcoming movie, was quoted as saying, “I learnt the Gujarati diction from my coach Dimple. We used to write down the words in the way it is pronounced and once you are familiar with those words it was easier to talk in that accent and style”. This movie will also mark her third collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan.

The actress also complimented SRK, who previously collaborated with her in her debut movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. The actress was quoted as saying, “I realised that he was such a big support system for me in my first film, he made things easy for me as a newcomer without making it obvious. It was really nice of him”. ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal' will be releasing on July 4.
