Reportedly, the actor who was last seen in films like Talaash, Kick 2 and Haider, will essay the role of a druglord named Roshan Sherchan, who is also Sikander Kher's brother in the series and has been captured by the Anti Terrorist Unit (ATU). Revealing what prompted him to take up this role, Ashish told DNA, “This series is shot like a film and my character is very strong with a lot of detailing. Plus, the series has retained the edginess that is there in the original. For me, what was interesting was the gamut of feelings my character undergoes in 24 hours — from being fearless to dealing with fear”.
When asked if he is open to feature in other TV shows, he said, “As an actor I want to do amazing stuff, irrespective of the medium. I have done many films in the south. But when it comes to Hindi films and TV I am extremely choosy”.
