Ashwin Kumars The Forest set to release next month

After short stints in documentaries, director Ashwin Kumar is readyto release The Forest next month (April 13). The story of the 86-minute movie is based on a man-eating leopard in the jungles of north India, but the movie has already been showcased at Cinequest Film Festival in San Jose and Cannes Market in 2009. Ashwin was honoured with an Oscar in 2004 for Little Terrorist and became the first Indian to be nominated at the European Film Academy for the 15-minute short film. The movie has been part of official selections to over 130 film festivals including the BAFTA, Los Angeles.
