Athiya Shetty Open To De-Glamourised Roles

The dusky star Athiya Shetty will not be bothered if she had to play de-glamourised roles. Instead, the Hero actress said that she would ‘would love to’ play such characters if offered. She turned many eyeballs with her performance in debut flick with actor Sooraj Pancholi. 

"I'm open to de-glam roles, in fact would love to do de-glamourous roles, if the role demands and wants different thing out of you. I think that is the challenge of being an actor to be able to pull off different roles”, she told a leading agency. The actress is the daughter of popular action star Suniel Shetty.

Talking about links ups and rumours that are inevitable in the showbiz industry, Athiya said that she is not bothered by them and prefers not getting into it. On asked about the news that she may be dating Ishaqzaade star Arjun Kapoor, she said, "I don't want to comment about it (link-ups) because as soon as I comment about it, it is taken into a complete different context so I would rather not comment about it. I think he has a very busy life than thinking about this". Athiya’s debut film was produced by Salman Khan for which he even sung the title song.
