‘Awara Paagal Deewana 2’ On The Cards?

The 2002 action comedy film ‘Awara Paagal Deewana’ was one of the highest grossing Bollywood films of the year. It was a remake of ‘The Whole Nine Yards’. Firoz A. Nadiadwala bankrolled the flick that Vikram Bhatt helmed. As per reports, the sequel of the film is on cards.

After the scrapping of ‘Hera Pheri 3’, Nadiadwala decide to make a sequel of ‘Awara Paagal Deewana’. He approached choreographer-turned-director Ahmed Khan to helm ‘Awara Paagal Deewana 2’. However, the film came to a halt with the idea to focus on a new story in the sequel. Thus, the producer has asked his team to explore for new writers.

‘Awara Paagal Deewana’ was a multi-starrer flick that featured Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Aftab Shivdasani, Paresh Rawal, Preeti Jhangiani, Aarti Chhabria and Amrita Arora. Anu Malik composed the score of the flick, which had Johnny Lever in a funny character, called Chhota Chhatri.
