Ayan Mukerji may bring Ranbir and Alia together

While the official announcement about this is yet to happen, we hear that Alia Bhatt is apparently at the top of Ayan Mukerji’s wish list for the female lead in his next. With a fabulous record of Wake Up Sid and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Ayan who is now considered one of the most stylish and sensible filmmakers in India is scripting his next.

While the film is still under pre-production, the leading lady might have already been on board since Ayan is eying Alia to play the female lead. With the recent success of Highway, 2 States and now Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Alia Bhatt has registered herself as one potential actor. Ayan is reportedly very happy to see her and feels she might suit the character he’s writing. The interesting question here is will the hero of the film be Ranbir Kapoor since he’s always been Ayan’s first choice? Both Ranbir and Ayan are big time buddies and Ayan would obviously opt for the Wake Up Sid actor to play the lead in his next. If this happens, it will really be an interesting cast to examine. As mentioned, there hasn’t been any official announcement regarding this but the inside proceedings hint at the same.
