From Bang Bang to Phantom, Katrina turns her style upside down

Katrina Kaif who is busy shooting for Kabir Khan’s Phantom apparently has done a complete turnaround style wise. The actress who has charmed her fans over in the completely commercial Bang Bang recently, will now be seen a avatar which is quiet yet exciting. Phantom is a thriller, that stars Saif Ali Khan and is an anti terrorist flick. In a recent chat to a leading website, Katrina termed this film an offbeat affair and revealed how different it is.

  “Phantom could be placed in a similar capacity saving the fact that Kabir Khan now has Ek Tha Tiger behind him and me and him have two successes together with New York and Tiger. Sajid is obviously such a huge producer. But Phantom is a tight thriller. It hasn’t got any songs. It doesn’t have the usual commercial aspects. It can be called an offbeat film,” she said. Katrina could be called Kabir Khan’s favourite, now that she’s working with him for third time in a row. After NewYork and Ek Tha Tiger, Phantom is her third film on the trot. Talking about the film, Kaif said “Phantom is something different Kabir is trying here. Not many films have done it in the past. It is a very interesting script written by Hussain Zaidi. His writing is very real. He puts in great attention to detail. He weaves suspense through his story and not simply by relying on dramatic moments or dramatic action set ups. It is properly crafted suspense thriller. The background is of terrorism and there is a distinct angle of it in the film.”

The film is in its last shooting schedule and will release by April 2015. Post this Kabir Khan would start with his much anticipated project Bajrangi Bhaijaan with Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor. Let’s hope the chemistry out good for both the films.
