Betwa Baahubali 2: There Was A Bhojpuri Baahubali Much Before Prabhas And Rajamouli

If a Bhojpuri version of Spiderman exists, it did not take much time for SS Rajamouli’s latest hot franchise - Baahubali - to get its own desi and crude version. Yes, you may be shocked by this news, coming your way early morning, but there is a Bhojouri version of the latest blockbuster, titled Betwa Baahubali 2.

Directed by Dhiraj Thakur, Betwa Baahubali 2 stars Ajay Dixit, Neelu Singh, Gopal Rai, J. Neelam, RD Shaikh and Umesh Singh. It was released on April 21.

With cringe worthy moves and cheap songs, the film has all the elements typically associated with a Bhojpuri movie.

The Bhojpuri film, however, has little to do with Prabhas-Anushka Shetty-starrer hit franchise. Betwa Baahubali 2 is a sequel to the 2008 Bhojpuri film, Betwa Baahubali.

Directed by Sujeet Puri, Betwa Bahubali had Tinu Verma and Lovy Rohatgi in lead roles while Ajay Dixit, Master Saurav, Pramod Mahto also featured in the film.
