Bittoo Boss does not bear any resemblance to Band Baaja Baarat, says director

Bittoo Boss director Supavitra Babul says there are no similarities between his soon-to-be-released film and the 2010 hit movie Band Baaja Baarat. For those who have seen the promos,Bittoo Boss reminds them of the Anushka Sharma-Ranveer Singh-starrer. The look of both the filmscomes across to be similar because they have a common backdrop wedding. Ranveers character of aDelhi boy in the Yash Raj film was named Bittoo, while Pulkit Samrats character in Bittoo Boss also hasthe same name. However, Babul is unfazed by these comparisons. "There are no similarities betweenBittoo Boss and Band Baaja Baarat. Our film is very grounded, organic and natural while, Band BaajaBaarat had that typical Yash Raj Films look and feel. I am not perturbed by the comparisons," Babul toldPTI. "Our story and characters are different. We have shown the point of view of videographers in ourfilm, which has never featured in Hindi cinema. Also, in terms of the budget, ours is one-third of 'BandBaaja Baarat'," he added.
