Bollywood celebrities tweet in support of BJP PM Candidate Narendra Modi

Today, May 16, is a big day in the history of India as results are coming out for the 2014 General Elections which will give us our 14th Prime Minister. Along with our national citizens from every nook and corner of our country, Bollywood celebrities also casted their votes exercising their democratic rights. As the results have shown that BJP PM Candidate Narendra Modi is the winner, film personalities have flooded Twitter with their posts in support of Modi.

Among many others, actor Vir Das posted, “DEAR MODI TROLLS, today's your last day. Tomorrow he's everybody's PM. It's equal rights, healthy satire & open season. Find a new hobby :-)” Actress Chitrangada Singh tweeted, “So today we stand MODI-FIED !!! :) now lets have it cominggg :) nation awaits ...” Shekhar Kapur shared his views saying, “End of era of feudal politics. Dynastic politics. A new India. A new opportunity. A new future. Let' it not go waste @narendramodi congrats.” Raveena Tandon followed the trend tweeting, “#achedinaagayehain.” Anupam Kher also joined the club, “Achche Din Aa Gaye. Jai Ho.:)” Modi’s supporters also include Vivek Oberoi, filmmaker Ashok Pundit, Kabir Bedi, director Madhur Bhandarkar and Preity Zinta. A section from Bollywood was also vocal against Modi like Mahesh Bhatt, Nandita Das, Shubha Mudgal, Sanjay Chehal, Hansal Mehta, Anand Pathwardhan and several others.
