Box Office: Avengers: Age of Ultron thumps a massive 35 crore opening weekend in India

Without disappointing the expectations of trade pundits and box office predictors, Avengers: Age of Ultron has done a whooping business at the Indian box office through the opening weekend. The film like a mainstream bollywood prospect earned much more than what the Hindi biggies have been able to churn this year.

Avengers: Age of Ultron collected 10.98 crores on Friday, 11.85 crores on Saturday and 12.91 crores on Sunday, taking its opening weekend figure to about 35 crores. It is needless to bring the fact under light that these collections are tremendously good for a Hollywood release in India. After Furious 7 created history earlier, Avengers: Age of Ultron is on its way to mark another milestone of success at the counters.

The film is yet to open in key international markets and is expected to fetch an earth shattering response from all over. Interestingly, the business has been more than double of what the first part ‘Avengers’ had made in the weekend. With Furious 7 going past the 100 crore mark in India, expecting the same from Avengers: Age of Ultron wouldn’t be too unfair.
