Box Office Report: Phantom Mints Rs. 33.18 crores

Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Phantom surrounded itself with a lot of controversies before its release. The Kabir Khan directorial, which released last Friday, has earned mixed reviews from the audiences as well as critics. The action-thriller film has minted Rs. 33.18 crores over the weekend.

The film minted Rs. 8.46 crores on the opening day. On Saturday, the films collection jumped to Rs. 21.24 crore. On Sunday, the film collected Rs. 11.94 crores, which makes the film’s total collection as Rs. 33.18 crores.

The film has already been banned in Pakistan after Jamat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed’s appeal. Recently, an NGO Medecins Sans Frontieres issued a legal notice against the film demanding removal of the scenes in which MSF references were made. Despite all this, the film did a fair business at the box office.
