BREAKING: Suniel Shetty's Father Dies At 93

Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty’s father Virappa Shetty passed away in Mumbai at 1:30 am in the morning. Virappa was 93. Earlier, there were reports that he was not keeping well and went into medical crisis. He was later taken to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, where he breathed his last. As per reports, his cremation will take place on Wednesday.

During an interview With HT in 2013, Suniel Shetty addressed his father his real hero. His father accompanied him to Worli to launch his showroom in a building. The father and the son shared a special bond. “This is where my father, Veerappa Shetty, used to work. He used to clean plates here since he worked as a waiting boy at a restaurant. My father is my real hero. He started working at the age of nine. He used to sleep on flattened mustard sacks and used a rolled-up gunny bag as a pillow,” he told the media.

Back in 2013, Virappa Shetty had suffered a massive paralytic stroke and Sunil had set-up an entire ICU at his South Mumbai residence for his speedy recovery. The actor has always given priority to his family; he even took a pause in his career and did not sign any films for years.
