Case over Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion's plot dismissed

Madhur Bhandarkar is known for making films whose crux lies in unfolded truths of the glamour industry. He created Chandni Bar, Page 3 and many more. Then, he made Fashion (2008), and this flick took Madhur’s name to all new heights. Suddenly, out of the blue, a lady named Seema Seth filed a case against Madhur, claiming that the plot of Fashion is an adaptation of a novel and its author needs to be credited for that.

The case went on in the court and after numerous hearings, it was noticed that Seth is not appearing before the court and her absence didn’t allow the case to go further. Thus, the case has now been dismissed. All the charges against the filmmaker have now been dropped. Seema was also seeking for a hefty amount of Rs. 2.5 crores as compensation from the UTV Motion Pictures and now that too won’t be paid to her.
