Chris Pratt-Anna Faris, one of Hollywood’s most adored couples, separate after 8 years

Hollywood star Chris Pratt has shared a sad news to his fans on Monday morning. He and his actor wife, Anna Faris, are separating after eight years of marriage.

“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating,” he wrote in a Facebook post. “We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”

Chirs (37) and Anna (40) make for one of the most adored celebrity couple around the world. They have a four year old son, Jack.

They met in 2007 on the sets of Take Me Home Tonight and got married in 2009, in Bali, Indonesia.

Anna recently said in an interview to People magazine that her marriage with Chris was very ‘normal’. “He loves to work in the garage, and I love to do laundry and watch reality television — just normal people,” she had said.

When he received his Hollywood Star of Fame in April, Anna introduced him with loving words. “This is actually a thank-you speech,’ she said. ‘I’m the beneficiary of all this because I get to spend every day with this wonderful man. I know that if our circumstances were different and we weren’t as fortunate to be standing here and living our Hollywood life, we would be happy in the woods together, I think,” she added.

Pratt too showered love on Anna at the event. “You make me laugh like nobody else. You’re very caring, and thank you for your trust and your sacrifice — and for your dedication and your heart. I will do my best to protect it, and in return I will give you all of those things as well. You have my heart, my dedication, my trust,” he had said in his speech.

Jack was born nine weeks premature and spend a month in the NICU. Chris has been vocal about the health of his son and talked often about giving the proper care to premature babies.

Chris rose to limelight for his role as the loveable goofball in hit sitcom Parks and Recreation (2009) and later became of the star of Marvel’s hit superhero film, Guardians of the Galaxy (2014). He was also the lead actor in one of the most successful films ever made, Jurassic World. He also starred with Jennifer Lawrence in Passengers.

Anna became a household name early on with her Scary Movie (2000) franchise. She is currently seen on CBS sitcom, Mom.
