Clash Of The Superstars, Akshay Vs Vijay

Tamil superstar Ilayathalapathy Vijay and Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar will be going head to head at the box office as their movies Puli and Singh is Bling will release on October 1 and 2. Predominantly a Tamil film, Puli will have a worldwide release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Singh is Bling is directed by Prabhu Deva while Puli is helmed by Chimbu Deven.

Pahlaj Nihalani, who procured the Hindi film rights of Puli said, “I am confident Puli has the potential to be a major all-India success. We’ve dubbed the original Tamil film into Telugu and Hindi and now all three versions of Puli will open worldwide on October 1”. He is currently the present chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification.

Singh is Bling is not related to the 2008 film Singh Is Kinng. Whether or not the close release of Puli and Singh is Bling will affect their sales is yet to be seen. Director Prabhu Deva and Vijay are close friends and the actor was part of the Rowdy Rathore cast as a guest star.
