Deepika likely to enact Saina Nehwal

After the success of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, filmmakers seem to take interest in making biopics. While, a biopic on the life of Olympic winner MC Mary Kom is already making news, the next biopic in pipeline seems to be a film based on badminton ace Saina Nehwal`s life.

Director and producer Mahesh Bhatt is apparently planning to make the Saina Nehwal biopic. He has his eyes set on the top-notch actress Deepika Padukone to play the role of the badminton player in the film. Saina Nehwal feels that being the state-level badminton player, Deepika will do justice to the character. Badminton player Prakash Padukone`s daughter, Deepika Padukone is already familiar with the sport and best suitable person for the role.

The dusky beauty of B-town recently won the Filmfare award for best actress for her outstanding performance in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela. She was last seen in Tamil film Kochadaiiyaan and currently working on Farah Khan’s next venture Happy New Year opposite Shahrukh Khan.
