After her promising performance in the west in her maiden Hollywood film 'xXx: Return Of Xander Cage', Deepika has carved a niche for herself in the international circuit. After her Hollywood debut, reports that were churned out of the rumour mill had been that the actress will mark her debut at the Oscars this year. Well, this buzz took the internet by storm and created top-notch excitement among fans. Not exxagerating, her fans also started anticipating her haute couture dress that she would pull at the Oscars.

The rumours rose after Hollywood stylist Elizabeth Saltzman, hinted through her posts that the gorgeous diva might grace this year’s Oscars. One of her Instagram post read, "LA here we come . Can't wait to see this beauty !!! ??? ? @deepikapadukone" followed by another post that read, "@gracerichmond9 is here too. Oscars here we come".

However, our Mastani quashed all these reports at a recent event in Mumbai. On being asked if she will be gracing the Academy Awards in Los Angeles with her presence, the 31-year-old actress told the media, "That's an interesting question...(laughs) but no, no." However, the actress is delighted that her maiden film raked good reviews and was much appreciated. It is thus disappointing that we will not witness her dazzling at the Oscars this year.
