Dhoom 3 records a new high, earns Rs. 69.58 crore in two days

Aamir Khan starrer Dhoom 3 came as a super hit of the year as speculated. The flick garnered a total of Rs. 69.58 crore in just two days which includes collections from Tamil and Telugu versions as well, reads an official statement. The movie scored a new record on its first day by fetching Rs. 36.22 crore. With this, it beats Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express and Krrish 3 featuring Hrithik Roshan in the lead.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, Dhoom 3 is an action thriller featuring Katrina Kaif in the female lead opposite Aamir. The film has an element of suspense, love and amazing bike stunts performed by Aamir in it. Besides that, Katrina’s attire along with her dance has blown-off the audience. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra have revived their characters of ACP Jai Dixit and Ali Akbar respectively of previous two prequels.

Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film is given screenplay by the filmmaker himself. It’s songs like Malang and Kamli topped the charts since the time of their release. Made under the banner of Yash Raj Films, Dhoom 3 is made with the budget of Rs. 1-1.5 billion, believed to be one of the most expensive Indian films. The film features Jackie Shroff as Aamir’s father, Andrew Bicknell, Tabrett Bethell, Diana Penty and few more in other pivotal roles.
