Did Farhan Akhtar Just Hint At A Sequel To The Iconic Film ‘Dil Chahta Hai’?

‘Dil Chahta Hai’ is one film that will always stay closer to our hearts for reasons more than one. The movie is about a timeless tale of friendship between three friends who share a deep bond, are separated due to their different approaches towards relationships. As the most awesome sauce youth movie ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, completes 15 years, director Farhan Akhtar has given us all new reasons to dance with joy and expect the unexpected.

A fan tweeted to Farhan with regards to the 15^th anniversary of ‘Dil Chahta Hai’, and asked him, if there is a sequel to the film. “@FarOutAkhtar thank you for giving us this cult. It’s time u gear up for a sequel. It won’t be easy but then who likes easy challenges”. To which, Farhan smartly replied, “Watch this space.  #DCHturns15 @AamirKhanTemple”.

Farhan did not say ‘yes’, nor did he say ‘no’ to the film’s next instalment. Well, has the Bhaag Milkha Bhaag actor hinted the sequel to the movie? If yes, then it would be a treat to all the ‘Dil Chahta Hai’ lovers. The Cult film starred Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni and Dimple Kapadia and also marked the directorial debut of Farhan Akhtar. The film won National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi in 2001.
