Entertainment has fairly good opening weekend

The latest Akshay Kumar offering ‘Entertainment’ directed by Farhad-Sajid has opened to a fairly good response at the box office. The film put up a decent figure of around 37 crores and showed steady trends.

Having collected around 11 crores on day 1, the film did not show any significant growth on Saturday but Sunday punched in a solid figure of 14 crores making its total rise up close to 40 crores. The film opened to the usual Akshay Kumar reception with critics slamming it off and audiences liking it. The category that the film falls in is a no brainer entertainer with a certain section of the audience being sure to watch it. The overall verdict of the film will depend on its performance in the weekdays. The film has to perform well in days to come to put up an impressive lifetime figure. Meanwhile Salman Khan’s Kick kept adding money in its kitty collecting around 8 crores in the weekend. The total collection of the movie now stands at over 220 crores.
