Farhan Akhtar to use gun for the first time

Director-turned-actor Farhan Akhtar could be seen using a gun for the first time on screen for ‘Wazir’. The Bhaag Milkha Bhaag star is playing the role of an ATS officer in the film. The makers hired a professional for his training, to make his character look more comfortable with the firearm.

Producer of the film, Vidhu Vinod Chopra said, “When I saw Farhan holding the gun on the big screen I felt he is the most natural actor to be doing action films. I was shocked when Bejoy (Nambiar) told me that Wazir is Farhan’s first action film”. The actor is also working towards gaining weight to look more compatible for the role.

Currently, the Rock On star is awaiting the release of his upcoming flick ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, which is his sister Zoya Akhtar’s directorial venture. ‘Wazir’ also features Amitabh Bachchan, Aditi Rao Hydari and Varun Gulu in crucial roles. The movie is scheduled to release by the end of the year.
