Filmmaker Files Complaint Against Aamir Khan For His Intolerance Remarks

Aamir Khan’s remarks about the ongoing intolerance issue have created outrage amongst the audiences as well as film fraternity. Not only Anupam Kher and Rishi Kapoor have questioned the remarks but the whole nation through social media has been criticising the Bollywood superstar. Now, a filmmaker, Ullhas PR, has reportedly filed a complaint against the actor, saying that he is spreading fear. The complaint has been filed at the New Ashok Nagar police station of East Delhi; however no FIR has been registered.

Clarifying that he isn’t doing any of it for publicity and that he has previously also filed complaint against Supreme Court for misrepresentation of state emblem, Ullhas PR told DNA, “I don't want the actor to be punished. I just want the needful to be done to prevent such remarks which spread fear in the country. I also live in the same society and don't feel any fear. The actor should specify which society was he talking about and if there is enough evidence in his (Khan's) statements then we all should come forward and do something about it”.

He added, “The actor should have told his wife that he as a public figure and he will try to make India better instead of speaking about their discussion in public”. B S Gurjar, who is the DCP (East), said, “We have received the complaint and are looking into it. Further action will follow in accordance with law”.

Aamir’s statement that has left the people of the country in shock is as follows: “Kiran and I have lived all our lives in India. For the first time, she said, should we move out of India? That's a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make to me. She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers everyday. That does indicate that there is a sense of growing disquiet”.
