FIR lodged against SOTY team

An NGO has lodged an FIR againstStudent of the Yearteam, including director Karan Johar and producer Gauri Khan, for allegedly hurting the religious feelings of people by referring to Goddess Radha as "sexy". 'Shrivision Social Empowerment and Welfare Association' had last month approached the magisterial court with a private complaint in this regard and now a criminal case has been registered by the local police in compliance with the magisterial court's order.

SP O.P. Tripathi told PTI that FIR was lodged last night under section 295 (A) (hurting religious sentiments) of Indian Penal Code against Johar, Gauri, Dharma Productions House, Sony Music, lyricist Anveta Dutta, composers Vishal-Shekhar, singers Shreya Ghoshal and Udit Narayan, and the actors Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan.
