Game of Thrones trailer: Twitter (over) reacts to the sound of footsteps
Updated : March 31, 2017 05:27 PM ISTLate Thursday evening, we were awoken from our slumber by the deafening sound of Daenerys, Jon Snow and Cersei Lannister’s footsteps. A new trailer for the seventh season of HBO’s Game of Thrones had been unleashed.
In the trailer, Cersei (Lena Headey) takes the Iron Throne, Jon (Kit Harington) is still in the North and the whereabouts of Daenerys’ (Emilia Clarke) seat is unknown. The last time we saw her, she was leaving Essos for Westeros with her massive fleet of ships with Tyrion Lannister by her side.
The first half of the new season will contain only 7 episodes, as opposed to the usual 10. It is scheduled to premiere on July 16.
