Gone Girl grosses over 200 million dollars

David Fincher's mystery film Gone Girl has reportedly grossed over 200 million dollars worldwide. The movie starring Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, and Carrie Coon in the lead roles, is based on Gillian Flynn’s novel of the same name. Gone Girl is all set to leave behind the director’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattooand The Social Network.

Swedish-American mystery thriller film The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo was also based on a novel of the same name by Stieg Larsson. The movie made 232.6 million dollars at the global box office, while the director’s The Social Network grossed 224.9 million dollars.

Thriller flick Gone Girl made 20.2 million dollars over the weekend, whereas, horror prequel Annabelle collected 19.2 million dollars internationally.
