Guests at English Vinglish premiere welcomed with ladoos

In a novel way of film promotion, makers ofEnglish Vinglishhave distributedladdoosat the premiere of the Sridevi’s comeback film. It does make a sense as in the film Sridevi is shown as an expert ladoomaker housewife. According to sources, theladdooswere specially ordered from Mumbai’s famous confectionery, Tiwari's, and producer R Balki's has instructed his staff that "no one goes home without a dabba."

The source said that so many ladoos were used during the shooting of the film that every crew member got addicted to the sweet, including the lead actress Sridevi. Balki said, "We are all hopelessly addicted to laddoos. During shooting there was just no getting away from it. We all ended up popping the sinfully rich stuff left right and centre. We will now have to collectively enter a laddoo rehabilitation centre." The premiere of the veteran actress’ movie was a star-studded affair as almost all the leading heroines of the industry were spotted at the event held at the PVR Oberoi Mall, Goregaon. From Bipasha Basu, Vidya Balan, Kangna Ranaut, Sonakshi Sinha, Anil Kapoor to Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, all were present there.
