Hardwork pays off: Queen wins national award for best film, Kangana wins best actress

The 62^nd National Film Awards has bestowed Kangana Ranaut the ultimate honour she could have hoped for. The actress has won the best actress national award for her super performance in last year’s acclaimed film Queen. 

The Vikas Bahl directorial also won the best hindi film award marking the two big honours in film’s kitty. After having won so much around the world at different award shows this year, Queen has been able to make it big at the ultimate level as well. On the other hand, Priyanka Chopra starrer, the gripping directorial by Omung Kumar, Mary Kom has won the best popular film award. The National Awards have certainly brought in a lot of cherish for the women centric films of the year. Vijay was named the best actor for his performance in Kannada film "Nanu Avanalla Avalu".
