I Will Ensure I Remain Honest To The Actual Melody In Golmaal 4: Amal Malik

Remixing old songs for new Bollywood flicks is common and in trend. Many old superhit tracks such as ‘tu cheez badi hai mast’, ‘Aaj Phir Tum Pe’, ‘Har Kisiko Nahi Milta’ and many more have been remixed for new albums. Music composer Amaal Malik is all set to remix one of the superhit old songs for his next film Golmaal 4.

However, he is no mood to spoil the original track. He said, “Today, that’s the trend, but a lot of criticism also comes the composer’s way. I want to create a lot of original music, but Ajay and Rohit wanted this song to be a part of the film. If I am reworking on a remake, I want it to be as good as the original. I will ensure I remain honest to the actual melody”.

On the response that these remixes get, Amaal said, “It’s funny how everybody trashes the remixes, but the same people demand these same remixes at weekend parties. The audience enjoys it. We composers are also helpless because we end up losing a film if you disagree to do the work. Right now, I am not in a position to say no to film like  Golmaal 4. But I am glad that I have an original and a remix in this movie”.

The fourth installment of the Golmaal franchise will see Parineeti Chopra and Tabu as the new entry in the club. Rest of the cast is same. Helmed by Rohit Shetty, the flick will have a 2017 release.
