“I’m not really an item number person, I’m an actor” – Preity Zinta

Gearing up for her new role as a judge in the dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye’, Preity Zinta may have been out of cinematic shouts, but she was by no means out of business. Be it the never ending love to her IPL team or making frequent TV appearances, Preity had remained in the lights throughout. Even the last year IPL controversy with Ness Wadia had given her enough mileage. Talking about dance and her own association with item numbers, Preity denied being sole item number performer.

The actress revealed that it was her ‘buddy’ Salman Khan, who she did her last item number for. “The only reason I did the last item number is because I love Salman and he is my buddy. I would do anything for him. Having said that, I’m not really an item number person. I’m an actor. My USP is that I can perform. I don’t mind dancing. I love to dance but I’d rather come to your house and dance or go to a club and dance,” she said.

Preity will be judging the seventh season of Nach Baliye along with co-judges choreographer Marzi Pestonji and author Chetan Bhagat. The Kal Ho Naa Ho actress had recently also revealed that she has moved on from her past relationship and now has ‘someone nice’ in her life. Well, let’s hope she finds solace in everything.
