Imran Khan becomes a proud father to his little princess

Heartiest congratulations to Imran Khan and his wife Avantika Malik as the couple has been blessed with a baby girl. A source close to the family disclosed the happy news that Avantika gave birth to her baby girl at Hinduja Healthcare Surgical (Khar) around 10 a.m. on Monday, June 9. The actor was not available to express this moment as his phone was switched off.

To consider a special request from Imran the hospital authorities decorated Avantika’s room with pink colour. As told by the source, "It was a C-section but both the mother and the baby are doing well. Imran was moved to tears when he got the first glimpse of his newborn daughter. It was an extremely happy moment for the entire Khan-daan." Grand uncle Aamir Khan was the first one from Imran’s family to rush to the hospital to have a glimpse of the tiny tot. Some of the close friends of Imran including director Shakun Batra also visited the hospital to congratulate the new parents.

The name of the new member is not yet decided, though. In January 2011, Imran and his long-time love Avantika entered the wedlock. As soon as the pregnancy news of Avantika got confirmed last December, Imran went on a paternity leave to stay beside his wife every moment. A few months ago Imran shared his excitement saying,”It’s madness. Suddenly I am doing all these things online, I am researching baby car seats, best crib, all of these new things have come into my life now, that is how my days are spent. It’s fun, I am thinking about things I never used to.” Further reports have revealed that both the mom and her princess are doing well.
