Imtiaz Ali Gets Candid About His SRK-Anushka Starrer 'Rahnuma'!

Imtiaz is seldom seen speaking about his films or his actors. His next project is titled as ‘The Ring’ and will star Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma. Touted to be a romantic drama entertainer, the film is scheduled to release on August 11, 2017.

DNA India reported, “The ‘Tamasha’ (2015) filmmaker wanted to move away from his usual style, marking his first collaboration with Khan. Though Ali has been making films for over a decade he assures that there wasn’t any pressure to make a certain of film to suit Khan.” Ali says, “No. That is not the arrangement with which we are working. The reason why Shah Rukh and I are working is because both of us wanted to do something which we were not doing really.”

Ali was asked if his upcoming film will be like his other Bollywood romantic entertainers as ‘Jab We Met’ or ‘Love Aaj Kal’, to which he replied, “I am not really thinking of it that way. I am just thinking of this particular story and trying to make it in the best way possible, whether it turns out closer to ‘Jab We Met’ or ‘Rockstar’, that I don’t know.” In ‘The Ring’, Khan plays a tourist guide who meets a vacationing woman, played by Sharma.
