Imtiaz Ali is one of the talented directors that Bollywood has been bestowed upon with. He has delivered some super hit movies such as Jab We Met , Love Aj Kal, Rockstar , Tamasha and Highway. However, his last film Jab Harry Met Sejal failed to impress audience.

And now the director is planning to cast Alia Bhatt and his favourite Ranbir Kapoor together in a movie. Imtiaz has worked with both Alia and Ranbir in his previous films. While Alia was seen in Highway, Ranbir appeared in Tamasha and Rockstar. “He has already had a word with her and Ranbir, but nothing’s been finalised yet as it is in the initial stages,” a source told a leading daily.

Ranbir and Alia have been cast together in Ayan Mukherji’s upcoming film Dragon. The flick will see the Kapoor clan playing the role of a superhero, while the 2 States actress will play his leading lady. In an interview earlier when asked from Alia about her experience of working with Ranbir, she said, “I’m super-excited. I’ve always been open about the fact that I admire Ranbir as an actor, and I’m dying to work with him because I’m going to learn more about acting as a craft (from him). I’m also most excited about working with Ayan because I loved both his films ( Wake Up Sid , 2009, and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani , 2013). He’s a very dear person.”

When asked the same from Ranbir, he said, “She is a fine actor, very unassuming about her success and talent. Plus, she is very evolved, cool and chilled out, so I am looking forward to the film."
